Russian artist Nina and one of her watercolors of a street in San Cristobal

Nina Diakova was born in Leningrad in 1948 into a family of artists. She studied at a special arts school and graduated with honors from the Repin Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. Her teacher there was the famous graphic artist and illustrator, Gennady Dmitrievich Yepifanov. Since 1979 she has been a member of the U.S.S.R. Union of Artists.

Ms. Diakova has participated in more than 50 exhibitions in Russia and abroad. Her work is in collections of the St. Petersburg State Museum of History, the Museum of St. Petersburg Academy of Artists, the Museum "House of Venustiano Carranza" in Mexico, the Museo del Jade Fidel Tristan in Costa Rica, and in galleries and private collections in Germany, the United States, Bulgaria, Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica.

From 1975 Nina has participated in different exhibitions in Moscow, Astrachan, Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Riazan, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski, Tbilis, Gdansk (Poland), La Habana (Cuba), Stuttgardt (Gernany).
