PAN'S WEBSITE FOR CHILDREN.
My name is PAPALOTL, or MARIPOSA. But you can call me "BUTTERFLY".
In the old Nahuatl language of Mexico, PAPALOTL means butterfly, and in Spanish,
MARIPOSA also means butterfly
But I am a "CAT"
My mother's name is ADELITA after the Mexican revolutionary song to a soldier's sweetheart. I was born in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico in July, 2000. I now live inside the office at LA CASA DEL PAN Restaurant in San Cristobal. I made a sleeping den inside one of the drawers in the office. There I spend most of my time with files, books and loose change. They want me to grow up to be a "watch" cat. But we will see about that!
The webmaster has asked me to introduce to you the drawings and stories of some kids from THE LOWER EASTSIDE SCHOOL in NEW YORK CITY.
