La Casa del Pan in Mexico City opened on October 7, 1989. It is located in the Parque Ecologico Loreto y Pena Pobre, Av. San Fernando 765, in Tlalpan. This whole-grain bakery and organic café boasts a beautiful setting in Mexico City´s first and largest ecological park, shaded by 100-year-old elms and visited by hummingbirds and an occasional eagle. Courses in crafts, painting and gardening are offered in the park for school children .
The park, designed by Architect Octavio Barocio, was designed to provide an alternative, environmentally friendly sanctuary in Mexico City. Therefore everything within the confines of the park has to be of high ecological and environmental standards. The choice of La Casa del Pan as an organic cafe and whole-grain bakery in the park is a testament to Casa del Pan´s dedication and committment to those high standards and qualities. La Casa del Pan in Mexico City serves vegetarian sandwiches, pizzas, organic salads, empanadas, whole wheat breads and pasteries, as well as organic Chiapas coffee, chocolate, tea and a variety of healthy shakes and drinks. Open Tuesday-Sunday, 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Click below to visit other Casas del Pan:
